This edition of the "Economy and Politics" show features Mr Atunyota Akpobome, a.k.a Alibaba an expert in the Creative Industry. He speaks on "Unlocking Growth in Nigeria's Arts and Entertainment Sector".
He said an enabling environment with the right policy mix and legislation will help the Creative Industry , to support Nigeria's revenue diversification and economic growth.
As Chairman of the COVID 19 Committee for the Creative Industry, he noted that it provided an opportunity to unearth several segments of the sector that were part of the ecosystem; that will require a robust intervention from the Federal Government.
He lauded the decision by the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Bankers Committee to rehabilitate the National Arts Theatre. This step he believed will reposition the iconic building as Nigeria's Creative hub competing with the likes of the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.
