2021 UN MSME DAY: Why MSMEs Are Critical To Nigeria's Sustainable Economic Recovery
June 27th has been designated as the World MSME Day by the United Nations (UN) since year 2017. The UN marked the day to recognize the contribution of these industries in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
MSMEs at the global level account for 60 to 70 percent of employment and contribute over 50% to the world's Gross Domestic Product.
With the 2021 theme looking at "MSMEs: Key to an inclusive and sustainable recovery", WebTV engaged experts and entrepreneurs as they shared their perspective on why MSMEs are critical to the sustainable recovery of the Nigerian Economy and what can be done by the government to improve the ease of doing business amongst other issues.
