Ratification of Export Proceeds, Protection of Primary Producers Key for Commodities Market - Akinsola Akeredolu-Ale
Policies and legislations that guarantee the Ratification of Export Proceeds and Protection of Primary Producers with price discovery are key steps that will boost the Nigerian Commodities Market.
The MD/CEO of the Lagos Commodities and Futures Exchange, LCFE Mr. Akinsola Akeredolu-Ale made this point as a guest on the "Market Review" anchored by Ottoabasi Abasiekong.
He also called for policies that support the structure for crude oil trading, regulations that strengthen crowdfunding, Collective Investment Scheme, and trading of Refined products on the commodities exchange.
Mr. Akeredolu-Ale said the LCFE is set to fully operate by Q1, 2021 and has a target of listing 50 contracts for Solid Minerals and 100 contracts for the Agric space in the year.
According to him the LCFE is focused on serving as the bridge that ensures capital formation and wealth creation is keyed into the commodities ecosystem.
