Q4, 2020: Profit-Taking to Dominate Activities in The Bonds and Fixed Income Market - Ebo Ayodeji
Profit-taking by investors will dominate activities in the Nigerian bonds and fixed income market in Q4, 2020. Mr. Ebo Ayodeji Senior Economist/ Head, Research of Greenwich Bank made this point as a guest on the "Market Review" anchored by Ottoabasi Abasiekong.
Reviewing the Q3, 2020 activities he noted that there was a reduction in liquidity in the Bonds market, even as the participation of Corporates was low. In the area of monetary policy, he noted that the Central Bank of Nigeria will continue to keep interest rates low and encourage banks to reduce lending rates.
He acknowledged the fact that the CBN in Q3,2020 resumed intervention in the FX market, through the I&E window.
