Economy and Politics: Nigeria Needs a Leadership Structure That is Anchored on Justice and Equity

This edition of the Economy and Politics show features Alhaji Tijjani Borodo, Second Vice President of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria as he speaks on "Leadership, Ethics and National Development".

The accomplished lawyer, administrator, and former Company Secretary of FBN Holdings Plc believed that Nigeria is a great nation blessed with immense resources (human and natural), that requires strategic and responsible leaders.

Speaking on Nigeria's diversity and pluralism he said the way forward for Nigeria's stability, was zero tolerance for nepotism but the prioritization of competence in political and government appointments.

Looking at the state of the nation and the issue of restructuring, he agreed that Nigeria must develop a structure that guarantees equitable distribution of resources across the nation.

Despite the regional agitations, rise in insurgency and challenging economic indicators, Alhaji Tijjani Borodo was optimistic that Nigeria will prevail and become a great nation again.
