Economy and Politics: FG MSME Interventions Should Focus More on Micro Enterprises - Seye Olurotimi
The interventions that are currently being rolled out by the Federal Government through its Ministries, Agencies and even the Central Bank of Nigeria, should give top priority to 'Micro-Enterprises' who constitute over 60% of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs.

Mr Seye Olurotimi the President of MSME Africa disclosed this as a guest on the 'Economy and Politics' show anchored by Ottoabasi Abasiekong.

He called for a single coordinated approach to MSME interventions in Nigeria, which will enable proper coordination, harmonization and evaluation of the impact on the beneficiaries.

Speaking further he stressed the need for special schemes that will target the micro-businesses who have major impact on the economy, when it comes to their businesses with a review of the terms to improve the criteria for accessing funds.

He emphasized training and skills development for MSMEs especially the 'Micro-Enterprises' who are pivotal to enhancing growth in the economy.
