Why Gas Should Be Leveraged As A Pivot For Diversifying Nigeria's Revenue - Bambo Ibidapo-Obe
Nigeria's huge Gas reserves should be utilized effectively to drive industrialization and serve as a pivot for diversifying the country's revenue.
The General Manager, Commercial Operations of Oando Energy Resources Limited Mr Bambo Ibidapo-Obe made this point as a guest on the "Economy and Politics" show anchored by Ottoabasi Abasiekong.
According to him with the enabling policy environment and infrastructure Nigeria can unlock enormous opportunities in the economy, through the Gas segment supporting power generation and industries in the country.
He said Oando Plc was also exploring Gas as a means of achieving sustainable energy which can lead to development of the nation's economy.
Speaking further he believed despite the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Oil and Gas industry globally, Nigeria had bright prospects for reinventing the industry, through activities like the Full Marginal Oilfields Round bids, Opportunities for Indigenous oil companies to explore new investments and a critical period to expedite action as regards the passing and signing of the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB.
