2022 Outlook: CBN To Sustain Interventions in The Economy, Improve Access to Finance - Emefiele
At the 56th Annual Bankers Dinner powered by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, CIBN the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Mr. Godwin Emefiele provided insights into the shape of monetary policy for year 2022.
According to him the CBN will sustain its intervention policies in critical sectors of the economy like Agriculture and Manufacturing to boost productivity and support employment generation efforts in the country.
Other areas that the CBN will give top priority include; improving access to finance, supporting households, encouraging non-oil export activities, the Infrastructure Company and the launch of the Nigerian International Finance Centre, NIFC.
The event was attended by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, Lagos State, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Niger State, Mr. Lamido Yuguda, Director-General, Securities and Exchange Commission, Mr. Bello Hassan, MD/CEO National Deposit Insurance Commission, Deputy Governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, Chairman, Nigeria Exchange Group, Bank CEOs, Captains of Industry amongst other top dignitaries with Mr. Bayo Olugbemi, FCIB President & Chairman of Council, CIBN as Chief Host.
