While many people think that emotional wellness and mental health are the same, Mental health, however, is made up of emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing.
There are different things that can impact a person's mental health including genetics and life experiences. Emotional wellness is more about being in tune with your emotions. It's about being able to recognize and handle the emotions that you have as they happen in a healthy way.
So, while emotional health is not the same thing as mental health, there are ways that they connect together. Learning how to maintain your emotional health can go a long way in helping with your mental health as well.
