Joint GDP of ISDB Member Countries Currently About $7trillion - Dr Bandar Hajjar
This edition of the Islamic Finance Weekly anchored by Bukola Akinyele discusses the recent Islamic Development Bank forum with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economic Development and the Private Sector Group, on efforts being made to counter the impact of COVID 19 pandemic on the Organization of Islamic Countries member countries.
It revealed that the Joint Gross Domestic Product, GDP of the Organization of Islamic Countries is currently estimated at about $7trn, with an annual growth rate standing at 8% .
President of the Islamic Development Bank, ISDB Dr Bandar Hajjar acknowledged the fact that the world is facing the serious health crises with unprecedented economic and social consequences. Mostly are either least or fragile state will shrink by an average of 2.1% in 2020.
The ISDB President also announced the adoption of the 5Ps covering public, public, private, philanthropy and people partnership through an innovative global coordination platform, that will lead the way for development and transformation in the OIC member countries.
