Women Need More Awareness On The Opportunities in Ethical Business - Dr. Shukurat Bello
 

Ethical finance' is commonly used to describe finance which takes into account not only financial returns but also environmental, social and governance factors.


Islamic finance in its pure form is devoid of speculation and excessive uncertainty and its principle is built of trade, entrepreneurship, and risk sharing.   


This buttresses the fact there is a nexus between Islamic Finance and Ethics.


In this edition of the Islamic Finance Weekly anchored by Bukola Akinyele- Yisau features Dr. Shukurat Bello, Senior Lecturer at Dangote Business School & Sub Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Bayero University Kano.  She speaks on "Women in Business and Ethical Finance."


According to her many of the women-owned businesses are into practices that are beneficial to the society and women are really participating in ethical businesses such as activities in the food industry.


Dr. Shukurat stressed the need for more awareness on the modalities of venturing into ethical business.
