Ways Islamic Fintech Can be Used to Reduce Poverty & Unemployment in Nigeria - AbdulMajeed Muhammad

As Nigeria seeks to address the twin effects of poverty and unemployment, Islamic Fintech has been described as a platform that reduce its impact on the economy and populace.

This edition of the Islamic Finance Weekly anchored by Bukola Akinyele-Yisau features the Co-Founder of Islamic Knowledge Foundation in Nigeria and a volunteer at Al Huda Center of Islamic Banking and Economics in Pakistan, Mr. AbdulMajeed Muhammad who provided his perspective on "Islamic Fintech and Financial Inclusion in Nigeria".

According to him, Islamic Fintech can provides support to Nigerian Households, MSMEs and the entire populace. As far as unemployment and poverty is concerned in Nigeria; Fintech can reduce them with the help of instruments such as easy payment, remittances, P2P lending, crowdfunding and making prudent investment choices amongst others.
