Leaders rely on coaching as a lifeline, with the need to ensure businesses are profitable and employees remain engaged enough to perform at their best.
According to a 2014 landmark research by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in partnership with Human Capital Institute (HCI), more organisations have recognised the value of building a coaching culture. A culture that offers all employees the opportunity to grow their skills, enhance their value and reach their professional goals.
While the findings highlight the benefits of coaching in our world today, the sad reality is that leaders are not willing to invest in building the skillsets necessary to coach and develop high performing teams. In addition, organisations underestimate the psychological impact the pandemic has on their people and how they work. Leaders must approach coaching intentionally and strategically so employees do not disengage or, ultimately, leave.
