Lolu Akinwunmi is an expert in Marketing and Advertising and is the Group CEO of Prima Garnet Africa and Chairman of Nitro 121.

He is a fellow of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria. APCON and National Marketing Institute of Nigeria.

 

Mr Lolu Akinwunmi served as Pioneer Secretary and later CEO Nigerian Rebranding Project (Good People; Great Nation): in 2009 reporting to the late Prof Dora Akunyili, the Hon Information & Communication Minister.

 

He served as a former Board Member, Ogilvy & Mather Africa BV, responsible for the English West African sub region and was appointed President of Association Of Advertising Agencies Of Nigeria, AAAN between 2007 - 2009.

 

With his dedication and outstanding work in the Advertising and Marketing Industry, he was appointed the Chairman of Advertising Practitioners Council Of Nigeria, APCON by President Goodluck Jonathan between 2010 -2015 .

 

He is a board member of the following organizations and companies, the International Advertising Association, Institute of Directors, CHAMSWITCH Plc, Premier Music, Centre for Integrated Health Program (CIHP) Columbia University's International Centre for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs, MeadowHall School and Impact Your World, a Not- For-Profit Organization.

 

Mr Akinwunmi is an Adjunct Lecturer, Pan Atlantic University (Lagos Business School) and a Corporate Member, Convention for Business Integrity, CBI.


Prima Garnet Africa under his leadership has managed notable companies like Unilever, Coca Cola, BAT, Nestle, Motorola, Glaxo Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals, First Bank, Econet/Zain/Airtel, KLM, WAMCO, South Africa Breweries, Guinness, Nigerian Breweries, Nigeria Investment Promotions Commission and Lagos State etc.
