He has over 25 years of Consulting experience in Aviation, Digital Transformation, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development, Strategic Planning & Implementation, and Performance Management.

 

He has served in several States and Federal sports agencies and provided Consulting interventions for the private and public sectors.


George Ashiru: Sports Profile

Sports Technocrat. Served on the Board of the Nigeria Judo Federation and as President of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation. Served on the Board of the Nigeria Olympic Committee and also on the Finance and Technical Commissions of the NOC. George Ashiru also served on the National Sports Committees, for the High Performance System and the RIO 2016 Preparation.


He was an IOC International Expert to the Sierra Leone NOC and was appointed International Technical Adviser to the Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association. He was a pioneer national Taekwondo Champion and won a Silver for Nigeria at the 1987 All Africa Games. He currently also hold the elected position of Vice President of the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union. As a graduate of IOC's prestigious Advanced Olympic Sports Management Course he also provides International sports consultancy.
