The PSRG-RICHARDSON HSSE Forum is a platform for practitioners to meet, discuss and analyze issues on Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) practices and development of Local Content in Nigeria.

 

Now in its twelfth year, the Forum was inaugurated in 2009 and has received several accolades from various industry stakeholders since inception. The forum has over the years generated huge attendance with over 20,000 participants and 150 seasoned topics delivered by top industry stakeholders.

 

The Theme of this year's event is "Nigerian Content Development: Facing The Future". This is the 10th year since the inception of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act which was enacted to enhance the development of local content in the Nigeria's Oil and Gas Industry. The Act focuses on targeting the promotion of Nigerian participation in the Oil and Gas Industry. The Act proffers exclusive development of indigenous skills across the oil and gas value chain, promotion of indigenous ownership of assets and use of these indigenous assets in oil and gas operations.

 

The Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established by the Nigerian Oil and Gas Content Development (NOGICD) Act which came into effect on April 22, 2010. The Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established and vested with the responsibility to implement the provisions of the Act, make procedural guidelines and monitor compliance by operators within the oil industry. It is on record that the board has attained remarkable achievements by the utilization of in-country capacities for the industrialization of Nigeria through Local Content Development.

 

The 2020 event will be chaired by the DMD, Total E&P Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ahmadu-Kida Musa and guest speakers for this event are: Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Engr. Simbi Wabote; MD, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company, Mr. Bayo Ojulari; MD, Bank of Industry, Mr. Olukayode Pitan; Chairman, Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria, Mr. Nicolas Odinuwe and President, Nigerian Environmental Society, Dr. Dorothy Bassey.

 

Due to the ongoing pandemic, it will run as an online conference with world class technical presentations on Nigerian Content development. This webinar will be accessible via appropriate social media platforms thereby allowing a larger participation from indigenous and international guests.
