Finance ministers and Central Bankers from around the globe will be in Washington this weekend for the Spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank holding on Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25.
Finance officials from the Group of 20 meet today and the International Monetary and Financial Committee, which is the IMF's steering committee, meets on Saturday.The event would among other issues discuss, the Global Collapse to Recovery: Economic Adjustment and Growth Prospects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
A press briefing on Global Monitoring Report 2010 will hold today, with Murilo Portugal, IMF deputy managing director; Justin Lin, World Bank chief economist and snr. VP, Development Economics; Hugh Bredenkamp, IMF deputy director, Strategy Policy and Review Department; Delfin Go, World Bank lead economist and lead author, Global Monitoring Report.
