Quotation List 

Pursuant to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s rule on Public Limited Companies which states that "all securities of unlisted public companies should be bought, sold, or transferred only through an approved OTC market", NASD has created a database of unlisted PLCS that are SEC registered however not trading on any traditional exchange.

 

NASD anticipates this action would create more market activity in the capital market through the admission of these companies on a SEC approved exchanged.

 

Listing

The NASD OTC has two ways through which PLCs can be admitted on her exchange.

 

Company Admission - The security of any of the firms on quotations list is introduced to the exchange by the firm itself.

 

Security Admission - The security of any of the firms on the quotations list is introduced to the exchange through a Participating Institution or an investor.

 

Participating Institutions with investors owning the security of any of the firms on the quotation list can introduce them for trading.

We are open to assist in complying with the rules set by the SEC and deepen the Nigerian capital market, enhance investor confidence level through providing liquidity.

 

Year-to-Date Overview 

NASD OTC Securities Exchange Market closed on a Positive note YTD as the market recorded an increase in performance. NASD Security Index Year to date returns increased by 0.52%. Total volume traded Year-to-Date stands at 12,788,807,525 units in 4714 deals and total Value traded is n29,896,200,460.9.

Week 44 Overview 

NASD OTC Securities Exchange Index closed the week on a Negative return on NSI. The NSI return decreased by 0.18% to close the week at 745.49 points against 746.86 on Friday October 29, 2021.

 

Week 44 saw NASD Investors lose n1.13 Billion in value. NASD OTC Market capitalization closed at N615.91 Billion compared to n617.04 Billion on Friday, October 29, 2021 resulting from a Negative movement in prices.

There was a 50.38% decrease in the total value traded during the week, as week 44 saw NASD Investors trade a total of N60,103,471.26 in value compared to N121,125,860.87 in the previous week. Total trade activity for the year is valued at N29,896,200,460.9.

 

Total volume traded during the week was 3,782,594 units compared to 2,073,817 units in the previous week leading to a 93.38% increase in trade volume compared to week 43. Total volume traded for the year is 12,788,807,525 units.

The week closed with Swap Technologies & Telecomms PLC  ranking top among the five most traded securities by volume and Niger Delta Exploration & Production PLC as the fifth most traded stock by volume traded in the week.

The week closed with Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria PLC ranking top among the five most traded securities by value and Niger Delta Exploration & Production PLC stood as the fifth most traded Security by value for the week.

The OTC market recorded no Advancers as the week was dominated by the Bears

 

Decliners for the Week 

Central Securities Clearing Systems PLC, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N85.00 Billion closed the week at N17.00 representing an 1.28 percent decrease from the previous close of N17.22.

 

NASD PLC, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N8.48 Billion closed the week at N19.10 representing an 0.37 percent decrease from the previous close of N19.17.
