The 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of our company NASD Plc was held today, 18 June 2021. The AGM was held at the 9th Floor, UBA House, 57 Marina Lagos, Nigeria and in full compliance to all regulatory restrictions on COVID. The event was livestreamed on all official electronic channels of the company.

 

The shareholders were represented via proxy by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Olutola Mobolurin, the Manging Director Mr Bola Ajomale and a member of the Statutory Audit Committee Mrs Fiona Ahim. Also represented at the AGM was the SEC, Coronation Registrars, Deloitte, and GIO Nominees (Company Secretary).

 

Following the resignation of Mr Samuel Nwanze, representative of Heirs Holding and Ms. Obiageli Ugboma, representative of Chapel Hill Denham, the board approved the appointment of Mr Ayodeji Adigun and Mrs Olayimikah Bolo as Non-Executive Directors of the Company.

 

In addition, Mr Olutola Mobolurin, Mr Oladapo Aina, Mr Abubakar Lawal and Mr Chike Nwanze were re-elected as Directors of the company.

 

Messrs. Delliotte & Touche were reappointed as Independent Auditors.

 

Mr Kashimu Garba Kurfi, Mr Nornah Awoh, Mrs Fiona Ahimie were also elected as Members of the Audit Committee until the next Annual General Meeting.

 

 

NASD PLC is pleased to announce the admission to trading of 11 PLC (formerly Mobil) and Capital Bancorp Plc on the OTC Platform today, 18 June 2021.

 

NASD PLC focus has always been to ensure an orderly and transparent market for shares to be traded. Once there is transparency, investors have some comfort in the type of transactions taking place. NASD can also, by its structure and rules open securities to trade between 24-48 hours, with its only requirement being that the Securities being introduced are registered at SEC and complies with the capital market regulations.

Week 24 Overview

 

NASD OTC Securities Exchange Index closed the week with a Negative return on NSI. The NSI return decreased by 0.01% to close the week at 746.12 points against 746.19 on Friday June 11, 2021.

 

In addition, Week 24 saw NASD Investors lose N0.05 Billion in value. NASD OTC Market capitalization closed at N530.35 Billion compared to N530.4 Billion on Friday, June 11, 2021, resulting from a Negative movement in prices.

There was a 20.13% decrease in the total value traded during the week, as week 24 saw NASD Investors trade a total of N240,436,336 in value compared to N301,020,636 in the previous week. Total trade activity for the year is valued at N8,617,274,675.

 

Total volume traded during the week was 11,836,028 units compared to 14,988,016 units in the previous week leading to a 21.03% decrease in trade volume compared to week 23. Total volume traded for the year is 395,380,299 units.

Decliners for the Week

 

Nigerian Exchange Group PLC, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N36.63 Billion closed the week at N19.28 representing a 3.06 percent decrease from the previous close of N19.89.

 

Central Securities and Clearing System PLC, which currently holds a Market Capitalization of N89.95 Billion closed the week at N17.99 representing a 0.05 percent decrease from the previous close of N18.00.
