Exchange held its 6th Annual General Meeting at The Westwood Hotel, Ikoyi,
Lagos July 17, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
According to the Chairman's statement on NASD PLC FY 2018
performance report , he noted that NASD earned₦134.4 million as trading commission in 2018
with comparison to ₦23.1 million
achieved in the preceding year 2017, representing 481.32% increase over
the previous year performance. This was due to increase activities carried out
by respective participating institutions.
Mr. Mobolurin also noted that during the year under reassessment, the Exchange
reconfigured its proprietary Bilateral Inter-dealer Trading System
platform which resulted in a significant reduction of the company's trading
platform cost from ₦63 million in 2017
to ₦1.4 million in 2018.
Going into the incoming year, he is optimistic that the increased awareness of
the OTC market and the support of SEC to provide the regulatory framework
required to grow the OTC space would in no distant time yield the
much awaited results.

As at close of trade week on
26 July 2019, market Capitalisation decreased to ₦517.17 billion from last
week's previous ₦522.80 billion,
which shows a 1.08% decrease in Capitalisation. Also the USI for the week
ended 26 July 2019 recorded a decrease from
727.69 points to 719.86 points.
