Transactions on the OTC Market recorded a significant increase in transactions deals and deal volume as at the end of the first half of 2016, relative to the same period in 2015. This is represented by an increase of 373% and 216% respectively.
However, the value of securities traded plunged with a 32% decline relative to the same period in 2015.
We at NASD do believe that as the economy begins to see an alignment in fiscal and monetary policies, activities on the market will have all its indicators green.
As at Friday, 19 August 2016, the index closed at 651.98 points (down 0.03 % on previous close of 652.20 points).
