FG Restricts Entry Into Nigeria from 13 Countries; Suspends Issuance of Visa on Arrival

The Federal Government of Nigeria is restricting entry into the country for travellers from:

  1. China
  2. Italy
  3. Iran
  4. South Korea
  5. Spain
  6. Japan
  7. France
  8. Germany
  9. United States of America
  10. Norway
  11. United Kingdom
  12. Netherlands; and
  13. Switzerland


These are countries with over 1,000 cases domestically. All travelers returning from these countries prior to the restriction will be in supervised self-isolation, monitored by NCDC and Port Health Services.


The Federal Government of Nigeria has also suspended the issuance of visa on arrival to travellers from these countries and also advised all Nigerians to avoid travel to these countries.


These restrictions will come into effect from Friday 20 March 2020, for four (4) weeks and is subject to review.
