A
major shift towards the transition to a technology driven market was initiated
today at the Fintech Learning Series held today for all staff of the Securities
& Exchange Commission (SEC) in Abuja by the Fintech Association of
Nigeria when Ms. Mary Uduak, the Ag. Director General of the Securities &
Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that Mr. Ade Bajomo, Executive
Director Operations & Technology at Access Bank Plc and the Vice
President, FintechNGR has been appointed the Chairman of the CMC
Committee on Fintech Roadmap for Capital Markets in Nigeria.
The
list of members of the CMC special committee on Fintech for capital markets
sent to SEC on 3rd Sept includes:

Further,
FintechNGR was tasked to use its network in developing a department dedicated
to Fintech at SEC once fully set up.
The
next engagement would be the training of the Root Committee of SEC on Fintech.
The root committee is tasked with developing the policy frameworks of the
commission.
