Shina Badaru is Founder/Chairman, Technology Times
Media Limited, a media, events and business services organisation focused on
showcasing Nigeria's growing contributions to the information and communication
technology (ICT) industry.

Badaru, a 1993 graduate of the prestigious Mass
Communication Department, University of Lagos started his journalism career in
1997 at ThisDay Newspaper as pioneer Information Technology (InfoTech) Editor
and pioneer Electronic News Editor of the respected Nigerian media group before
leaving in 2000.
Badaru has since written on technology issues for
various print and online media organizations including National Interest,
Computer Network News in Africa (CNNiA), PC World West Africa, BusinessDay,
Daily Independent, Balancing Act News Update, The Sun, Nigeria Monthly, among
others.
He has earned many awards and recognitions,
including the first Nigerian recipient of the SAP African Technology Reporting
Award in 2001 and First Prize Winner of UN African Media Awards on Local ICT
Content.
Badaru, a Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of
the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) was the President of the
Joint Action Committee on IT Awareness and Development, (JACITAD), the umbrella
body of ICT Journalism in Nigeria; a member of Nigeria Union of Journalists
(NUJ) and also seats on the board of some Nigerian organisations.
Founded in 2004, Technology Times has become the
veritable voice of the Nigerian technology industry and has received several
prestigious local and international awards and recognitions.
