UBA Plc Announces its closed Period and Status of H1 2018 Results

In accordance with the provisions of Rule 17.18(b) of The Nigerian Stock Exchange Rule Book (The Rules), we hereby notify The Nigerian Stock Exchange (“The Exchange") of the commencement of the closed period of United Bank for Africa PIc (“UBA”) with effect from Tuesday, July 3, 2018 up until the release of UBA’s 2018 Audited Half Year Financial Statements. 

Also, in line with our practice, the 2018 Half Year Financial Statements will be audited, following which we will seek the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria before its publication on The Nigerian Stock Exchange. We plan to publish the 2018 Half Year Results on or before August 29, 2018 in line with Section 1.1.3 of the Rules for filing of Accounts and Treatment of Default Filing, Rule Book of The Nigerian Stock Exchange (Issuers Rule), which states that “An issuer that chooses, in addition, to audit its quarterly accounts shall file such accounts not later than sixty (60) calendar days after the relevant quarter".
