Niger Insurance Plc Announces Delay in Filing FY 2017 Financial Statements

Thursday, April 12, 2018 /04:01PM/NSE

Niger Insurance Plc (“Niger Insurance” or “the Company”) wishes to inform its esteemed shareholders and the investing public of the delay in the filing of its year 2017 Audited Financial Statements with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (“NSE”) and the Securities & Exchange Commission (“SEC”).

This was unanticipated as the Company had expected to finalise the audit and file within time as required under the rules of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

The audit exercise was delayed as a result of the on-going audit of the Company’s subsidiary and report of other professional advisers required to conclude the consolidated accounts.

However, Niger Insurance envisages that the Audited Accounts will be concluded soon and forwarded to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) before 13th April 2018.

Therefore, we request for extension of 30 days from the 13th April, 2018 within which to file the 2017 Audited Accounts.
