UNIVINSURE Partners With NURTW On Passengers Manifest Scheme

The Management of Universal Insurance Plc. (the Company) hereby notifies The Nigerian Stock Exchange (The Exchange), its Shareholders, Stakeholders and the investing public that the Company in a bid to play significantly in the insurance industry retail space, has keyed into the Passengers Manifest Scheme (PAMS) project of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), as the official underwriter of the scheme.

The PAMS initiative is designed to ensure that passengers travelling by road across the Country have their names authenticated on the Union’s digital manifest and are covered with genuine insurance policy which the Company provides.

The Company believes that this partnership will go a long way in improving insurance  awareness and penetration in the country as well as boost public confidence in the industry through prompt settlement of claims.
