INTBREW Announces Delay in Filing of the Company’s 2018 Audited Financial Statements

International Breweries Plc (the Company) wishes to notify The Nigerian Stock Exchange (The Exchange), its shareholders and the general public that the Company was unable to file the Audited Financial Statements for the Year ended 31 December 2018 (2018 AFS), before the regulatory due date of 31 March 2019.

This delay is occasioned by the follow-up activities to the merger which was concluded in December 2017 and integration processes which are still ongoing. Also, the appointment of a new External Auditor in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Code of Corporate Governance for Public Companies, 2011 (SEC Code) regarding the 10-year tenure for External Auditors.

Consequently, the Company assures its shareholders of filing the accounts within the extended period granted by The Exchange, and that the Board and Management are committed to ensuring the highest levels of corporate governance and sustenance of stakeholder value.
