Nigeria’s Equities Market closed the month of June 2019 in the red as market sentiment turns negative The NSEASI Dipped by -3.55% as against +6.55% gain recorded in the month of May 2019 while the NASD USI closed in red with -0.30% loss recorded at the end of the month under review as against -1.26%  loss in May 2019. 

Furthermore, the NSEASI ended Q2 2019 in the negative territory with -3.46% loss as against -1.24% loss in Q1 2019 while the NASD USI closed the quarter southwards with -1.51% loss as against +2.31% gain recorded in Q1 2019. 

On market development, regulation and investors protection, the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed new rules on the transmission of shares among other rules such as the proposed new rule on Central Counter Parties and sundry amendments to the rules on Annual report, Quarterly Report and publication of interim financial statement.

 

The FMDQ, UNEP and others champion the Lagos Financial Centre for Sustainability (FC4S Network). The FC4S Network is to create a platform for financial centres to exchange experiences and take common action on shared priorities to accelerate the expansion of green and sustainable finance.. Other activity around the FMDQ OTC market is the Series II Bootcamp Training for Corporate Issuers in the Nigeria Debt Capital Markets and the Derivatives Market Training for Market Participants.
