Akinkugbe, Awoyemi charge young Nigerians on investments and wealth management

Financial expert Mrs Nimi Akinkugbe and notable financial analyst Mr Olufemi Awoyemi today charged young Nigerians, to explore opportunities in investments, savings and wealth management, which was critical to shaping their lives, career and families. 

Akinkugbe and Awoyemi were special guests at the presentation of book prizes to winners of the Vetiva-Proshare tweet meet interaction with Nimi Akinkugbe on “Lessons on Personal Finance” last week. 

The book prize winners were Mojisola Jaiye-Gbenle, Ehizogie Igbinovia and Kanyinsola Abayomi-Amao. 

Mrs Akinkugbe believed the winners of the tweet meet who fall in the category of young Nigerians, between ages 21-45, had a great opportunity to lay a solid foundation for their finances, if they take the issues of savings and viable investments seriously. 

She stressed that those that invest while they are young, have time on their side and the ability to evolve the volatility of the market, stating that investments made early in the capital market at the long-term tend to appreciate better. 

According to her “Saving early helps you to develop a strong savings habit and progress in financial security, particularly with the intense advertising culture and the trend of consumerism”. 

On wealth creation, The Author of A-Z of Finance said “Wealth comes with huge responsibility, giving you the opportunity to impact, touch, change and save lives”. 

The MD/CEO of Bestman Games was confident that the book prize winners, will experience a fantastic journey in their pathway to investing in their financial future. 

Giving his remarks Mr Olufemi Awoyemi , CEO of Proshare commended Mrs Nimi Akinkugbe for her efforts in writing books on personal finance and wealth managemet, which he believed was impacting lives. 

Mr Awoyemi said as a knowledge-based firm Proshare was ready to collaborate with Vetiva Capital and Mrs Nimi Akinkugbe to improve financial education and enlightenment across the nation. 

Speaking earlier the CIO of Vetiva Capital Oyelade Eigbe thanked Mrs Akinkugbe for the willingness to share her vast knowledge on personal finance with others, through the social media platform. 

She also lauded Proshare for the remarkable support in the area of strategic social media initiatives like the Vetiva-Proshare tweet meet.
