Steps on Unclaimed Dividend Retrieval Process as Highlighted by SEC Nigeria

Based on information available on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website, all investors whose name(s) appear on the U-eDIV Search Portal, are advised to download and fill their respective Registrar's e-mandate form and submit same at the nearest branch of their Bank or Registrar to register for the collection of their unclaimed dividends and subsequent dividends electronically


Also, proceeds from investors secondary market transactions can be credited to their preferred Bank Account through the Direct Cash Settlement option.


The retrieval process has been streamlined into these four (4) steps;

  1. Log on to the SEC U-eDIV Search Portal. This portal can be accessed via the link here
  1. Note Your Registrars Name. Do a search of your name on the portal after accessing it via the link above.
  1. Download and Fill Your Registrars Form. After confirmation that your name appeared on the SEC U-eDIV Search Portal, you re required to download and fill an e-dividend mandate form which can be accessed for all registrars here.
  1. Submit Form. After completing the form and its duly signed by your bank, investors are required to submit the form at their respective registrars office in order to start receiving dividends.
