SEC Proposes Amendment to Its Rule on Renewal of Registration by CMOs

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed sundry amendments to its rules on Renewal of Registration and quarterly returns forms for unit trust scheme fund managers.

Parts of the additions to the rule states that every Capital Market Operators shall file applications for renewal of their registration every year and shall renew its registration by filing the appropriate SEC form as contained in the Schedules to these Rules and Regulations.

Similarly, the capital market regulator also proposed an amendment to the quarterly returns forms for unit trust scheme fund managers.
