IDOWU
SALAWU is a trained Biochemist with over 25 years experience
of working in the environment sector, notably in Pollution Control, Waste
Management, Municipal and Industrial Waste Management, Environmental Impact
Assessment, Erosion Control, Waste water and water management. Most of this
work has been done in Nigeria, mainly Lagos, Oyo, Kwara, Osun, Niger and Enugu
States respectively, where he worked for a variety of government agencies
and private sector as consultant.
Functionally
he has experience in Environmental Management(Consultant to the World Bank on
Sanitation & Wastewater Strategy, an accredited consultant to the Federal
Ministry of Environment on waste management, Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation on EIAs and served as a consultant to Lagos and Enugu State
governments on environment & ecological matters); preparing environmental
management plan including EIAs, advisory support for capacity building; project
identification; proposal writing; project management and evaluation; and
technical inputs to projects.
Currently
he is the CEO/Regional Head of Macpresse West Africa Limited, an affiliate of
Macpresse Europa-Italy, a waste management and recycling facility company with
over 70 years experience, and a member of European Union Association of
waste paper recycler. I have worked as an Independent consultant since 1998.
He
is a member of the Nigeria Environment Society, Lagos State Branch.
