millennial customers spend more time on mobile devices to manage their
finances, entertainment and health, a terrestrial entertainment provider, GOtv,
has decided to move into the mobile device space by way of a self-service App
which allows customers fix errors, change and view their packages on the go.
The App enables viewer’s take control of their video experiences on their
MyGOtv self-service application, attempts to provide GOtv customers with
an easy way to manage their accounts from their mobile devices.

mobile application may be useful:
- Cutting long queues by
managing accounts on the go: the new self-service
App allows customers to manage their accounts from their mobile devices
anytime, anywhere. Multichoice observes that as a GOtv customer, customers can view their accounts, renew subscription, change packages, clear error codes and update details amongst other features.
- The app is available to
both Apple and Android users: for telephone users
this could prove important, iOS users, according to Multichoice, can download
the App from the ‘App store’ and for Android users it can be downloaded from
‘Google Play store’.
- It costs nothing to
download: the App is downloadable with no charge other than the
normal cost of data required for internet access.
- Millennial customers can
participate in reality shows by way of voting in such programmes as after the
Monday nomination shows: A registered
Voter can vote instantly by clicking on the vote now button inside the App, the
voter clicks on Sign in and enters a cell phone number in the
international format e.g. +2348000000000, enters a your chosen password,
selects a favourite housemate. In respect of this particular programme
Multichoice says votes on the MyGOtv App are limited to 100 votes per user.
- Fixing TV errors
directly from App: New
digital Apps offer customers with the option of fixing TV errors directly
instead of through customer service personnel. The customer simply goes to the
‘Fix errors’ section then clicks on the button that says, ‘Select which error
is on your TV screen’
and then selects the error options and then clicks on ‘Fix it’.
evolution of the mobile digital experience appears to be prepping customers to
a seamless world of omni-entertainment that engages the new digital citizen.
