Lagos Introduces Corporate Taxis

The commissioner said the initiative was aimed at not only alleviating the suffering of passengers but providing them comfort which most commercial operators could not provide at moderate rates in Lagos metropolis.<br />

He further stated that the State Government would be providing the infrastructure while the corporate company would provide the security and all safety facilities to make the passenger comfortable.<br />

<p class="MsoNormal" style="\&quot;MARGIN:" text-align:=""><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span lang="EN-GB">On charges by the cabs he described them as moderate and affordable, pointing out the cab costs N20 per minute which is equivalent to about N2, 000 for three hours journey. He said they were fitted with meters that read the costs. </span></span></p>
