FCCPC To Host Town Hall Meetings With Electricity Consumers in Lagos

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Council will hold town hall meetings, with Electricity consumers this week in Nigeria’s economic capital Lagos. 

The meetings have been scheduled for  Tuesday June 18th and Thursday June 20th, 2019 respectively.

It will have in attendance the Chief Executive Officer of the FCCPC Dr Babatunde Irukera, and will serve as an avenue for dialogue and proffering solutions to the challenges in the electricity sector. 

The June 18th, 2019 forum will hold in Ikeja between the officials of the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, IEDC and the consumers at the Memorable Gathering Event Centre, Opposite NUT Pavilion, NEDRC Road, Agidingbi Road, Alausa. 

On June 20th, 2019 the forum holding in Victoria Island will serve as an opportunity for consumers to engage with the officials of the  Eko Electric Distribution Company, EEDC at the Virgin Rose Resorts, Plot 1231A, Bishop Oluwole Street. 

This forum organized by the FCCPC is in conjunction with the MacArthur Foundation. 

It is expected that regulatory agencies like the National Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC will attend the town hall meetings.
