Trump and Kim Jong-un Hold Historic Meeting, Sign Agreement Towards A Peaceful Korean Peninsula

The tone and body language changed from antagonism to partnership as President Donald Trump of the United States of America met with North Korean leader Chairman Kim Jong Un in Singapore. 

With over 5,000 media correspondents covering the summit, it was a moment that attracted global attention as the two leaders had a one-on-one conversation, with President Trump becoming the first sitting U.S President to engage  North Korean leader. 

At the signing of the historic document between both leaders, President Trump described it as very  fruitful and a worthwhile parley. 

On his part Chairman Kin Jong Un said the document marks a new era for peace in the globe with a commitment to the process of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. 

According to the North Korean Leader , "Today we had a historic meeting and decided to leave the past behind”, stating the “The World will see a major change”. 

This meeting was facilitated by the following nations; China, South Korea and Singapore. 

The full details of the document signed are unclear at the moment, but the days to come will reveal the implications of the meeting and what it holds for the global political system, economy and markets.
