President Muhmmadu Buhari,
GCFR has charged his second term cabinet to be dedicated and committed to
Nigeria economic expansion and transformation.
He disclosed this while
inaugurating the 43-man cabinet that will steer the affairs of the government.
Buhari reminded the
ministers that the core focus of the government was guaranteeing security,
diversifying the economy to be inclusive and tackling corruption.
He tasked the new cabinet
to be focused on the goals and policy direction of the administration, in
achieving economic growth.
The President said for the
2019-2023 period key performance indicators, KPIs will be set to assess the
ministers.
President Buhari during re-emphasized
the need for communication, coordination and cooperation amongst the 43
Ministers.
In terms of administration
he said requests for meeting and appointments should go through the Chief of
Staff, while preparations and coordination of activities for the weekly Federal
Executive Council, FEC meeting will go through the Secretary to the Government
of the Federation.
