National Assembly to Resume October 9th, 2018

The National Assembly which was billed to resume from recess tomorrow September 25, 2018 is now expected to reconvene on Tuesday October 9th, 2018. 

In a press statement issued by the Clerk of the 8th National Assembly M.A Omolori the Clerk of the National Assembly, said the postponement of the resumption is due to the activities of the primaries of the various political parties. 

By this statement all the Senator and Honourable members are expected to resume on October 9th, 2018. 

The Leadership of the National Assembly will for the first time since Nigeria’s fourth republic, come under the control of  an opposition party. 

It will be recalled that during the recess both Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki and House of Representatives Speaker Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress Party to the PDP.
