The former Kaduna State Governor was a part-time lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1987-1993).

During the period he was a part-time lecturer, Makarfi furthered his studies and obtained his Master’s degree in Accounting from the same University.

His passion for Nigeria is borne out of the need to build a united, prosperous and resourceful nation.
