President Muhammadu Buhari has been affirmed and is officially the candidate of the All Progressives Congress party for the 2019 general elections.
At the national convention held yesterday at the Eagle square, President Buhari polled about 14.8m votes from the direct primaries.
He will now be contesting for a second term in office in 2019.
Giving his acceptance speech President Buhari pledged to take Nigeria, to greater heights.
He listed some of the achievements of his administration, which include investments in infrastructure, social investments, a stabilized currency and boosting agro sector.
Buhari in 2015 defeated the incumbent President then Dr Goodluck Jonathan, in a keenly contested election.
The APC government campaigned on the agenda of "Change" focusing on "security", "tackling corruption" and "reviving the economy".
The Minister for Transport Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi is the Director General of the Buhari Presidential campaign.
