This is to inform The Nigerian Stock Exchange and the investing public that at the Annual General Meeting of Chams Plc held on April 24, 2018, the retirement of Very Rev. Ayo Richards as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors was ratified, after 5 years of meritorious service. Dr. (Mrs.) ‘Dere Awosika was appointed as the new Chairman of Chams Plc to succeed the Very Rev. Ayo Richards.

The following persons were duly appointed as additional members of the Board of the Company:

1.         Pastor Ituah Ighodalo - Non-Executive Director

2.         Alhaji Yusufu A. Modibbo - Non-Executive Director

3.         Mrs. Mayowa Olaniyan - Executive Director

4.         Mrs. Funke Alomo Oluwa - Executive Director

PROFILES OF THE NEW APPOINTEES

Dr. (Mrs.) Ajoritsedere Awosika has wealth of experience at executive and board levels in technology, power and banking sectors to bear positively on the business of Chams Plc. She is a seasoned administrator and corporate amazon and served as the pioneer National Coordinator/Chief Executive of the National Programme on Immunization; Director (Parastatals) in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; and Director (Department of Community Relations & Youth Development) in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. In recognition of her intellectual and professional competences in public administration, Dr. “Dere Awosika served as Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Interior; Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office, in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology. She retired from the Federal civil service as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power in January 2013. She is currently on the Boards of several Corporate and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

Pastor Ituah Ighodalo is a Pastor, an Accountant, a Thinker, a Social Reformer and a Writer. He obtained a B.Sc combined honours degree in Economics and Accounting in 1982 from the University of Hull, England, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in July, 1986 and attended a business management course at the Harvard Business School in Boston, 2011.

Pastor Ituah Ighodalo is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria, member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, member American Society of Industrial Security and member, American Institute of Management. He is presently the Pastor in Charge of Trinity House, a non-denominational, free flow Christian worship centre.

Alhaji Yusufu A. Modibbo holds a B.Sc Degree in Agriculture from the University of Maiduguri in 1982, Business Management from the Consortium of Italian Universities, Milan in 1988 and Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from the Bayero University in 1997. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS), an associate Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) UK, an associate member of the Institute of Management Consultants; An associate member of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria and an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Mrs. Mayowa Olaniyan is a chartered accountant of repute and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), global body for professional Accountants. An alumna of Oxford Brook University, Nanyang Technology University and Pan-Atlantic University (Lagos Business School).

Mrs. Funke AlomoOluwa is an alumna of IESE Business School, Barcelona Spain and Lagos Business School Executive MBA programme. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Funke holds a degree in Computer Science and Economics (combined honors) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, lle-Ife. She is a member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and an associate member of Women in Business (WIMBIZ).
