Buhari Approves the Appointment of Dr Ibrahim Kana and Four Others as New Permanent Secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of five (5) new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service following the recent conduct of the selection process.

 

Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, Head of the Federal Civil Service of the Federation made this know on Friday 18th June 2021.

 

The appointed Federal Permanent Secretaries and their state of origin are as follows:

  1. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso - Ekiti State
  2. Onwudiwe Maryann Ngozi - Enugu State
  3. Yusuf Ibrahim Idris              - Katsina State
  4. Ogunbiyi Marcus Olaniyi     - Lagos State
  5. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana      - Nasarawa State

 

One of the five appointees is Dr Ibrahim Kana who hails from Nasarawa State. Dr Kana is a Medical Doctor and Consultant Ophthalmologist. He has also occupied senior health positions in the country in the last few years.

 

Currently, he is a participant on the Senior Executive Course 43 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.

 

The swearing-in date and deployment of the appointees will be announced in due course.
