Asset and Equity Group Wins Diversified Financial Services Company of the Year at BAFI Awards

At the recently celebrated BAFI awards by Business Day, Asset and Equity Group bagged the award for diversified financial services company of the year. The award ceremony held at the Lagos Continental Hotel on November 13th 2021, was attended by captains of the financial industry.

 

The BAFI awards in its 9th edition have established as the benchmark of excellence for companies in the financial services sector in Nigeria. This year's BAFI, regarded as an esteemed honour for companies in the financial industry in Nigeria, is the first nomination and win for the group.

 

The award was presented to the Group Chief Operating Officer Kayode Adegoye. While thanking Business Day for the recognition, Kayode said this award gives credence to the work we do and reminds us why we are on this journey - to be a one-stop for all financial needs. He went on to say, "we could not have achieved this without the incredible people at AEG who bring their A-game day in, day out and that sets us apart".

 

Asset and Equity Group is the parent company of four subsidiaries including, Olive BDC, the pioneer company that grew into the group it is today. Converged Dynamics Capital Services Limited, an asset management company licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Silicon Edge, a technology company with its flagship project - File.ng. Lastly, Park 101, a real estate luxury project in the Lekki Free Trade Zone area.

 

Speaking on the award, Group Managing Director Michael Abayomi Osho said “this award makes us reminisce on our humble beginning as a foreign exchange company over a decade ago. And between then and now, we have ventured into tech, asset management and more recently real estate. How have we achieved this? By having the courage to work in the present while planning the future". According to Mr Osho, this award will serve as a motivation to keep serving a diverse range of customers and creating long term value to impact the economy of the continent at large.
