Ana Martinez-Pina and Sagar Teotia Appointed Co-Chairs Of The Monitoring Group

The Monitoring Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Ana Martínez-Pina and Mr. Sagar Teotia as Co-Chairs of the Monitoring Group for a two-year term. 

Ms. Martínez-Pina is the Vice-Chair of the Spanish securities regulator, Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), and chairs ESMA´s Corporate Reporting Standing Committee. Among other senior regulatory roles in Spain, she chairs ESMA´s Sustainable Coordination Network and is a member of IOSCO´s Sustainable Finance Network Steering Group, leading one of its workstreams.  Prior to that, Ms. Martínez-Pina chaired the Spanish Accounting and Auditing Institute (ICAC), the authority in charge of accounting standard setting and audit oversight in Spain.

Mr. Teotia was recently appointed as Chief Accountant of the US SEC. He has gained a wealth of experience in financial reporting and audit regulation, holding several senior roles within the SEC. Prior to joining the SEC, Mr. Teotia was a partner at Deloitte´s national office.
