Mr. Adeolu Bajomo, the Executive Director responsible for Market Operations and Technology at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), resigned yesterday from the position he assumed on May 1, 2011.
Mr. Adeolu Bajomo, an Engineering graduate from the famed University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), holds an M.Sc degree with distinction in Information Systems from South Bank University and an MBA from CASS Business School, City University London. The chartered member of the British Computer Society led the operations and technology transformation of the NSE, Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading exchange in repositioning the bourse for growth and global leadership through effective exploitation of technology and efficient business and market operations processes.
Information available to Proshare News & Investigations indicate that whereas Mr. Bajomo’s resignation becomes effective December 31, 2017, he has opted to proceed on his terminal leave from Thursday, November 16, 2017 ( two weeks).
Market recalls that Mr. Haruna Jalo-Waziri, the erstwhile Executive Director, Capital Markets (business development), resigned from the bourse upon his appointment as the new Chief Executive Officer of CSCS Plc, where he resumed on November 1, 2017.
These changes and others that is taking place reflects a shift in the exco team and points to the emergence of a new and structurally different entity come January 2018.
As an interim measure, and in order to ensure that services are not interrupted, Ade Ewuosho; Head of Operations & Market Services and Tony Ibeziako , Head Capital Markets Division will work directly with Oscar Onyema, CEO of The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) to steer affairs.
It is understood that the exchange is working expeditiously to fill the vacant roles of
