Sefton Fross, one of Nigeria's leading full-service law firms, has announced its webinar series designed to discuss the vulnerabilities and emerging opportunities for businesses in the Nigerian economy in the challenging economic climate that has trailed the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Nigeria's economy contracted by more than 6 percent in the second quarter of the year. This reflected the impact of lower oil prices on government revenues as well as the complete or partial stoppage of economic activities in several sectors as the Federal Government introduced measures to curtail the spread of the virus across the country.
"The webinar series is designed to bring together industry experts and finance professionals with a view to sharing valuable ideas that can help companies not only wade through these challenging times but also thrive. We are delighted to host these conversations as our contribution to ongoing efforts to move the business community past the immediate impact of COVID-19" said Olayemi Anyanechi, Managing Partner of Sefton Fross.
The maiden edition of the webinar series is scheduled to hold at 10 am on Tuesday, 8 September 2020 with the theme Continental Energy Shifts: building resilience through business collaborations, combinations, and consolidation. Speakers at the event comprise experienced and renowned professionals in their respective areas of expertise, including Austin Avuru, Former Managing Director of Seplat as Keynote Speaker, Sola Carrena, Executive Director & Head, Corporate Finance, Stanbic IBTC Capital, Segun Olujobi, Chief Executive Officer, Vertex Energy and Olayemi Anyanechi, Founder and Managing Partner, Sefton Fross as panelists. The event will be moderated by Wole Famurewa, Anchor, CNBC Africa.
The event is scheduled to hold on the Zoom virtual meeting platform and participants are required to register here. The event will also be live streamed on the Sefton Fross YouTube Page.
