Buhari leaves for UK on Official Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday 9th, 2018 leave for the United Kingdom on an official visit where he will meet with key dignitaries, and hold discussions on issues of importance to Nigeria.

According to his Media aide Mr Garba Shehu, President Buhari will engage British Prime Minister Mrs Theresa May, prior to the Commonwealth scheduled for 18th to 20th April, 2018.

Buhari will also meet the Global CEO of Royal Dutch Company Plc Mr Ben Van Beurden concerning plans by Shell and other partners to invest $15bn in Nigeria’s Oil & Gas Industry.

This investment ventures and deal will lay the framework and foundation for the next 2 decade production and domestic gas supply, bringing wider socio-economic impact on the nation.

Mr Shehu also shared in the press release that the President will hold talks with his very good friend, the Archbishop of Canterbury Most Rev Justin Welby on inter-religious harmony in Nigeria and across the globe.

The President during his visit will also meet some prominent Nigerians in Diaspora, residing in Britain.
