#2019Elections: APC Releases Timetable for Primaries

The ruling political party in Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress through its National Working Committee has released the timetable for its primaries in accordance with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

This covers all the elective positions for the 2019 general elections, from the Presidency to the State House of Assembly.

It also listed the cost of the nomination forms for all elective positions  in the party.

The APC primaries schedule is as follows;

-Presidential Primary (Thursday September 20, 2018)

-Governorship Primary (Tuesday September 25, 2018)

-Senatorial Primary (Thursday September 27, 2018)

-House of Representative Primary (Saturday September 29, 2018)

-House of Assembly Primary (Tuesday October 2, 2018)

-National Convention to Ratify/ Elect Presidential Candidate(Saturday October 6, 2018)

It also released the cost of purchasing the nomination forms and timelines;


·         Expression of Interest –N5m

·         Nomination form – N40m

·         Total- N45m


·         Expression of Interest – N2.5m

·         Nomination form –N20m

·         Total – N22.5m


·         Expression of Interest – N1m

·         Nomination form – N6m

·         Total – N7m

House of Representatives

·         Expression of Interest – N850,000

·         Nomination form- N3m

·         Total –N3.85m

House of Assembly

·         Expression of Interest- N100,000

·         Nomination form – N750,000

·         Total-N850,000


All forms are to be collected and submitted on or before Wednesday September 12, 2018.
