Average price paid by consumers for automotive gas oil
(diesel) increased by 0.24%
month-on-month and decreased by -1.04% year-on-year to N226.78
in March 2020 from to N226.25 in February 2020.
States with the highest average price of diesel were
Taraba (N243.33), Benue (N241.67)
and Borno (N240.00).
States with the lowest average price of diesel were
Rivers (N206.76), Nassarawa
(N207.78) and Bayelsa
(N208.64).

Average price per litre paid by consumers for National
Household Kerosene increased by 2.21% month-on-month
and by 9.94% year-on-year to N334.16 in March
2020 from N326.93 in February 2020.
States with the highest average price per litre of
kerosene were Adamawa (N402.78) , Cross River (N397.44),
and Imo (N385.14).
States with the lowest average price per litre of
kerosene were Katsina (N260.42),
Oyo (N292.86)
and Rivers (N295.37).
Similarly, average price per gallon paid by consumers
for National Household Kerosene decreased
by -0.67% month-on-month and increased by 2.05%
year-on-year to N1,215.25 in March 2020 from N1,223.50
in February 2020.
States with the highest average price per gallon of
kerosene were Adamawa (N1,370.00),
Kano (N1,350.00) and Borno (N1,320.00).
States with the lowest average price per gallon of
kerosene were Bayelsa (N1,106.67), Imo (N1,113.44) and Rivers (N1,120.00).

Average price for the refilling of a 5kg
cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreased by -0.72%
month-on-month and by -4.04% year-on-year to N1,981.07 in March 2020 from
N1,995.35 in February 2020.
States with the highest average price for
the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were
Bauchi (N2,500.00), Adamawa/Borno (N2,450.00) and Yobe (N2,380.00).
States with the lowest average price for
the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were
Ebonyi (N1,650.00), Enugu (N1,703.75) and Jigawa (N1,727.78).
Similarly, average price for the refilling
of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) increased by
0.02% month-on-month and decreased by -1.84% year-on-year to N4,181.22 in March
2020 from N4,180.57 in February 2020.
States with the highest average price for
the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas)
were Akwa Ibom (N4,665.00), Cross River (N4,650.00) and Bayelsa (N4,635.56).
States with the lowest average price for
the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas)
were Oyo (N3,707.86), Kano (N3,741.67) and Zamfara (N3,789.23).
